Meet Katya Gogol

After 7 years of jewelry design and vending experience, I launched GogolHaus in 2020, and the world was in a bit of a free-fall. But I continued to experiment, follow my intuition, and am so grateful to the overwhelmingly positive response to my art.

I take inspiration from the natural world, the mystic and macabre, and love to tie in elements from my homeland of Russia.

Bold looks for a bold life.

The Process

Electro-forming is very "organic" thing. I can play with textures of copper plating by changing setting on the power source..I created these crazy bubbles with pure science and a bit of magic. Every piece of jewelry is unique because I use raw crystals and never leave my rectifier (power source) with the same settings as the last batch.

Artist Philosophy

Our taste develops much faster than our skill. So when you do anything creative, you should never wait untill you're "good enough" to put your work out there. If you caught yourself comparing your work to others', especially to those who are more established, you're risking falling into a perfectionist pit. Just put it out there, see what sticks, see what people respond to. Let this process polish you. Let this process teach you.
